Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge celebrates their first Christmas with Jefferson Park
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge has commenced this holiday season with many of the traditional holiday activities, including caroling at a variety of local nursing homes and assisting Jefferson Park with hosting their children's Christmas party. In addition to their community efforts, the church will celebrate their first Christmas season in the new North Cambridge building, with a candlelight service scheduled for this Christmas Eve at 4:30p.m. and a Christmas Day service at 11:30a.m.
"As a church we were thrilled with the opportunity to be an asset to, and better serve, our community and neighbors during this holiday season" states Danny Tao, Director of Community Development at the church, "We enjoyed working with the Jefferson Park residents and we hope to assist them again next year."
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge assisted the Jefferson Park Community in hosting their children's Christmas party last Saturday afternoon. The festivities took place at the tenant council building with over 100 children, friends, and families in attendance. Volunteers from the church participated in games with the children, with one of the volunteers dressed as Santa, offering them party favors, traditional "Portraits with Santa, and the opportunity to tell him their wish lists. Various local organizations donated food, gifts, and party favors. Jefferson Park Community truly appreciated the efforts put forth by the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge.
In addition to the Christmas party, several church members spent last Saturday caroling at neighborhood nursing homes. The carolers visited Neville Manor and Saint Maria, assisted living homes for the elderly, where they sang Christmas songs and visited with the residents.
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge is one of the fastest growing churches in the Boston area, and it is the biggest new church in Cambridge.
The church was started primarily to help people seeking to explore faith or to make a spiritual connection, but who have previously not connected well with churches. The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge is known for vibrant contemporary music, a dynamic kids' church, and inspirational, relevant teachings.
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge has a thousand attendees on Sunday mornings from diverse denominational and ethnic backgrounds from the greater Boston locale.
Sunday services are at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. with kids' church offered during the 9am service. The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cambridge also offers over twenty-five ministries and partnerships with local groups that serve the community.
