Reach Your Neighborhood

One of the core dreams of the Greater Boston Vineyard is that we would tangibly and effectively promote compassion, justice and reconciliation. We'd love to play a part in eliminating poverty, oppression and suffering in our local community and around the world. And in our own church, we'd love to see people from diverse backgrounds in meaningful relationships and following Jesus together. Ultimately, as the dividing lines of class, race and ethnicity are broken down in Jesus' name, we believe that we'll experience the fullness of being a part of God's family and unparalleled blessings from God as concrete expressions of heaven in our present lives.

Here are some ways you can promote this vision of heaven within our own church, in the neighborhood and abroad.

4392 Challenge

The 4392 Challenge is a 7 month-long outreach campaign for Small Groups.  For the next 4392 hours (November 1st- May 31st = 7 months = 30 weeks =183 days* = 4,392 hours), we will try and love others in Jesus’ name as a church for every one of those hours!  We hope this will prove to be a fun and motivating way of making outreach an integral part of our church.  Click here to learn more.  With questions, email stephanie@bostonvieyard.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Volunteer Handbook provides a comphrehensive list of volunteer opportunities through Vineyard Cares and Vineyard Community Offerings.  Perfect for both Small Groups and individuals, the opportunities listed focus on building meaningful relationships, engaging across dividing lines of class, race and age and enhancing the holistic wellbeing of individuals and the community.  For more information or to participate in any of the opportunities, e-mail volunteer@bostonvineyard.org.

The Partnership Fund

The mission of the Partnership Fund is to empower the church to follow Christ's invitation to love the poor and oppressed through significant financial giving. The fund will pool our financial resources and partner with a range of effective, well-researched organizations. More information can be found here or by contacting thepartnershipfund@bostonvineyard.org.
