The Service
Sunday Services
Our services start at 9:30 am and 11:30 am on Sunday mornings, and at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings. The services last about 90 minutes. Children are always welcome in the service, and there are programs for babies, children and youth during the 9:30 am service.

One of the first things you'll notice is that everyone is dressed comfortably, most often quite casually. Your program will give you a rundown of what to expect in the service, along with the scriptures we'll be referring to that day.
Opening Songs & Announcement
Our band will open up the service with a song, and then we'll mention a few announcements.
Practical Messages
Each week a member of our pastoral speaking team will give a 30 to 40 minute message. The messages offer practical insights and are punctuated by personal stories. Often the messages are illustrated by some performed music or drama or a clip from a pertinent movie.
We receive a lot of encouraging feedback about how vibrant and relevant people typically find the messages to be:
- “It’s amazing how every week the sermons apply to exactly what’s going on in my life at the time.”
- “What church should do – help you to actually live your life better.”
- “The sermons were surprisingly relevant and practical.”
One-on-One Prayer
After the message, whoever's speaking usually prays for the congregation along the lines of message and, if you're interested, you'll have the opportunity to receive one-on-one prayer from a team of people trained in praying for people.
Worship with a Rock & Gospel Feel
Those who don't ask for prayer will enter into a time of lively worship of God in song led by some gifted musicians. Vineyard music is known for being contemporary and dynamic so, for instance, we have a band rather than a choir and an organ. Each music set is chosen from eclectic traditions, including rock, folk, gospel and hymns. Some people may physically express their praise through raised hands, movement, and loud singing and shouts – others are still and quiet. There is no pressure on you either way.
Communion & Offering
Every other week during the service, we take communion together. If you're a follower of Jesus you're invited to join in, or you can sit back and enjoy a song from the band. We get told that those tend to be powerful times, whether you take communion or not. Towards the end of the service, we do take an offering, though our hope is that our visitors won't give, but will regard themselves as our guests.
