artist statement

My work seeks to provoke a dialogue within ourselves.
It deals with humanity's existential need of filling a void.
It searches for intimate conversations about joy and struggle, assimilation, change and growth; intending to better understand the interior and exterior worlds.

The paintings commemorate life, celebrate, let out pain.
Whatever the subject might be, there is always emotion expressed by paint, collage and drawing, in a moment between the figurative and the abstract.
