Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to the creative force of photography. I am mostly absent in the photos from my childhood's family vacations because I was the one behind the camera. I studied Photography at Boston University, worked as a studio assistant for a top commercial photographer, and then "landed" in photojournalism for the next twenty years.

As I photograph someone, my main desires are to reveal their beauty, honor their culture, and disclose something about them that perhaps you might miss at first glance. The photos in this collection were shot for a magazine article on Muslims in London. I spent twenty-four hours with this Bengali family in their apartment and around their neighborhood.
